Many friends and family have promised to
pray for us and the work here, so we will keep this list
up-to-date.
Church/Ministry needs:
Grace Baptist Church
Taiwan Baptist Mission
Spiritual awakening for Taiwan
Unity and love among the members
of our church (with the many cultures and languages
worshipping together as one body of believers, we face
interesting challenges)
Our need for an associate pastor
who is Filipino
Our new Awanas program in the
English Congregation
Children's Choir Christmas Program.
Terrie wrote this program, and it is the first time we will
be doing a drama with the children separate from the adult
choir. We begin rehearsals in October. Pray it will be
a source for outreach as well as a blessing to those
involved
Pray for the prayer walk we will
be doing in Maenong (on the southern part of the island)
Pray for us as we counsel many who
are going through difficult times, and pray for those we
are counseling
Wednesday night service/Bible
study in Shengken led by Dave
Prayer retreat on October 31 through
November 1
International Day of Prayer for the
Persecuted Church on November 16
New Alpha Course that just began
this September.
Salvation for those we are sharing
with
The renovation of our church building
Future teaching trips to China
Personal Requests:
Our children's schooling expenses
Rachelle's health: she seems to have
an allergy lately that is causing her to cough a lot
Nathaniel's check up next week regarding
possible ear surgery
Annalyssa's teeth. She has a dental
appointment next week, and she has a tooth where the filling
fell out and is causing a lot of pain
Dave and Terrie's overall
health...we are working out and trying to get in better
health
Ryan (who just turned 2 on Annie's
and Terrie's mom's birthday last week) that he will continue
to grow, learn, and be safe.
Protection from typhoons,
earthquakes, uneven sidewalks, wild taxis, and daring
motorcycles, to name a few things
For our home to be a blessing to
others
Praises:
God has been blessing us so much.
We put our children in school by faith feeling it was His
plan for them to attend Bethany. So far, two months' tuition
has been provided!
The children are really enjoying school
and are doing pretty well in class.
For wonderful friends who are here and
for some who are returning. Kathy Gross (Terrie's childhood
friend is still teaching here for at least this year and next.
Doug Street (fellow minister and friend from the States) is
Minister of Youth at Taiwan International Church. Michelle and
Rob Kupe are returning here from Canada. Rob arrived safely last
week! We are so excited to be surrounded by these and so many
friends from here and from around the world! Please pray for those
friends who have returned to their homelands to minister there.
Most recently, Debi Diedericks returned to South Africa and hopes to
begin literacy ministry.
For the salvations and God's
working in our church and personal lives...we are seeing
people saved at most services. God is moving in the lives of the
people here. There is a hunger for God. These are truly
exciting times.
That our new budget is approved
and ready for 2004
