Maybe this isn't the most important place in
Taiwan, but it is nice to know that there are McDonalds and a few
other familiar places around town. To the left of McDonalds is
the church and behind McDonalds is our house, so Mac Attacks are
never a problem for us...just a problem for our waistlines!
Our car by the Chang Kai Shek Memorial. The
car was given to us by some very generous people in the church
who were moving to Thailand. We are so thankful to them and to
God for his provision. Dave got his license on the first try, and
is learning to drive Taiwanese style very well! :-0
This is a typical Taiwan taxi. They are all
pretty much yellow here. In the right part of the picture is one
of the ancient gates to the city. In the background is the
tallest building in Taiwan. Not far from that building is the
fabric market...one of Terrie's favorite places to visit!

The Grand Hotel is a major landmark in Taipei.
It is a beautiful building. Behind the Grand Hotel is the
American Club of China.
The National Palace Museum. Ancient artifacts
from Mainland China are stored and shown here. There are so many
items that they are changed every three months and it takes 12
years to see everything there is to display.
One of the classes at Fu-Hsing school where
Terrie was helping out teaching Kindergarten ESL. She had to quit
when she had knee surgery, but she enjoyed working there with the
students and the other teachers.

Evergreen Retreat in November was held about
30 miles from Taipei at a resort. Rachelle and Annie enjoyed
getting to know some of the people and watching the fish with
them. All three kids had a great time, and it was a wonderful
time of renewal for everyone.
